The cephalic margins, thoracic and pygidial pleural spines and articulating lobes of the thorax are in good condition - all these areas of the carapace-exoskeleton are characterised by a tight fold, named the doublure. The three-dimensional exoskeleton of the arthropod displays every segment of the thorax; the cephalon (head) and pygidium (tail). The axis lobe runs the length of the body from the cephalon to the pygidium, which stands up elegantly at the tail-end, the eye covers protrude up from the cephalon - this is a wonderful example, where each plural lobe is complete and very well-defined right down to the pygidium.
